To meet the requirements
of the legislation in respect of adequate
DRIVERS hours
training, we offer 1/2 day driver digital tachograph training
courses.
For MANAGERS who need to know a little
more, the digital tachograph training course extends to one whole day.
Digital
Tachograph TRAINERS need 2 days to master what they need to know to
train both managers and and drivers using digital tachos.
We
can
also supply a full PowerPoint production for DIY digital tachograph
training use in your base. This comes automatically as part of the
"Digital Tachograph Trainers " course. There is also a fully working
computer training simulation disc.
Digital
tachograph training courses can be run either at your base or at ours
in Taunton or Barnstaple.
Training courses are
legally speaking "other work" in relation to drivers hours.
Accommodation
is possible during the digital tachograph training and there is ample
parking. There is a C&G qualification which is not required for
the
average driver.
Digital Tachographs are required on
all new relevant vehicles.
Drivers
in the short run, may well experience these digital tachos through the
use of hired vehicles when their normal vehicles are unavailable.
Digital
tachographs in circulation include Siemens digital tachograph (Digitach),
Stoneridge digital tachograph and Actia digital tachograph.
Drivers
need a digital tacho drivers card. Once a driver has a digital
tachograph drivers card, then he will find he can legally drive:
- any "new" vehicle in the
fleet fitted with a digital tachograph;
- any "hired in" vehicle with
a digital tachograph;
- any "old" vehicle fitted
with an analogue tachograph where the drivers card would be part of the
recent drivers hours record.
